This event is designed for neurodivergent minds who:
Forget to eat when hyperfocused
Feel overwhelmed choosing meals
Eat the same foods but crave variety
Struggle with textures and smells
Find meal planning exhausting
Feel guilty for not eating “normally”
Eat a little during the day and a lot at night
Want support that honors their brain
Eating isn’t always easy and it’s not your fault.
Neurodivergent brains experience food, routine, and processes differently. This workshop gives you space to:
- Understand why eating and cooking feel harder for you
- Explore your sensory needs at your own pace without judgment
- Learn ADHD-friendly tools for meal preparation & planning
- Build confidence in creating food routines that work for you
- Practice mindfulness strategies to manage anxiety around eating
Community
Build meaningful connections in a safe and welcoming environment. Share your experiences and insights with others as we collectively foster an easier experience with food built for your needs.
Mini Talks
Join an intuitive eating–aligned therapist and dietitian who will break down why food can feel harder for neurodivergent people, normalize those struggles, and share empowering insights with practical tools you can start using right away to build confidence around food. Both facilitators live with ADHD themselves so they truly get it.
Mindful Eating Exercise
Practice slowing down to notice the taste, texture, smell, and how your body feels before, during, and after eating. This practice can improve awareness of hunger and fullness cues, reduce stress around food, and support a more connected, compassionate relationship with eating.
Interactive Stations
Move at your own pace and explore a variety of nurturing activities from our sensory snack station to building full and satisfying meal ideas using foods you enjoy and textures you can tolerate.
Take-Home Resources
You’ll leave with practical tools you can actually use, including illustrated guides, ADHD-friendly meal planning templates, and other calming goodies.
- Shame-free and weight-inclusive. There’s no talk of calories, weight loss, or “good” vs. “bad” foods.
- Created by neurodivergent professionals. Both facilitators live with ADHD themselves, so they understand these struggles from the inside out.
- Hands-on and interactive. Instead of just listening to lectures, you’ll participate in creative exercises and sensory-based activities at your own pace.
- Focused on empowerment. We’ll normalize your challenges, help you connect the dots around why eating can feel so hard, and give you realistic strategies you can actually use in daily life.
- Community-oriented. You’ll meet others who share your experiences, so you leave knowing you’re not alone.
This event isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about helping you feel supported, resourced, and confident in how you nourish yourself.

Meet Jess Fry, LPC, ADHD-CCSP, CSTS
Licensed Therapist, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Body Confidence Coach and Educator

As a dedicated mental health therapist, Jess specializes in supporting women facing challenges related to eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, and ADHD. Her approach empowers clients to embrace their true selves in a world that often undermines their worth. Jess meets with clients in person at her office in Ephrata, PA, and also offers telehealth services to residents in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Additionally, as a coach, she provides virtual support to clients worldwide, focusing on body acceptance, intuitive eating and self-confidence.
Jess knows firsthand what it’s like to move through a world that constantly tells women (especially those in larger bodies) that they aren’t enough. For years, she struggled with low confidence, shaped by societal expectations, body dysmorphia, and the lasting impact of an eating disorder. But through deep healing, unlearning harmful messages, and reconnecting with her own worth, Jess has grown into the most confident and authentic version of herself.
Jess' work is rooted in compassion, body acceptance, and a fierce commitment to helping women reclaim their inherent worth. Through her coaching and counseling, she offers practical tools and heartfelt insights to help others rebuild confidence, honor their bodies, and reclaim their voice in a world that often tries to silence it.
Meet Jessica Cannon, MS, RDN, LDN
Founder, Owner, and Lead Nutrition Therapist at Nutrition That Heals, LLC.

In 2022, Jessica was diagnosed with endometriosis. As a registered dietitian she knew that she had to turn her full attention to anti-inflammatory foods, proper hydration, and self-care. Once she had figured out how to make food nourishing for her body and its unique needs, she knew she had to share what she learned with others. She also has lived experience with an eating disorder.
After proper healing, she decided to start her own practice. She has been helping people with their health and well-being ever since. She is proud to be a HAES (R)-aligned provider and a member of EDRD Pro. She is grateful to have a group of amazing clinicians working with her.
Our nutrition counseling sessions are scheduled on your time, according to your needs, and centered around your goals. We’re here to listen to your challenges and work with you on your health journey to a better, more nourished lifestyle. We take a holistic approach to nutrition.
The Nutrition That Heals team is passionate about overall well-being and empowering others to feel their best through proper nutrition and self-care. Jessica sees clients in person in Lancaster City, PA and she and her team provide telehealth services to clients in over 15 states.
