Do you constantly feel like you should be doing more, doing better, or getting it right the first time?
Do you overthink decisions, procrastinate because you're afraid of failing, or struggle to celebrate your accomplishments because you're already focused on the next thing?
Do you hold yourself to standards you would never expect from anyone else?
I used to, too (and I'm still very much working on it).

Perfectionism can look like overachieving, people pleasing, overthinking, procrastination, difficulty resting, and being incredibly hard on yourself. It often leaves us feeling exhausted, disconnected, and like nothing we do is ever quite enough.
Peace Over Perfection is a cozy, intimate mini workshop designed for women who are ready to take a breath, slow down, and get curious about their relationship with perfectionism.

"Overall everything was truly exceptional. Snacks, music, ambience, vibes - all immaculate! Overall, I loved it, truly a special day I will carry with me!"
"I hope you do more of these in the future. I'll be bringing my best friend, my sister, and honestly every woman I know because we could all use something like this."
"You thought of everything, and I'm just so glad I got to be a part of it."
"I loved everything about the She Rises retreat! The only feedback I have is that I wish it had been longer!"
"I'll be making the trip for every single retreat you host. Because if that was your first one, I can't imagine how much better they'll get over time."
"A day of self reflection, affirmation, safety, support, and fun! I will be carrying the joy, serenity, and empowerment today brought me for a long time to come."
"This day was exactly what I needed. I didn't realize how much I needed to slow down and get back in touch with myself. Thank you!"
"What a special treasure today was. Feeling so empowered, seen and affirmed. Thank you!!!"
"Today was what my soul needed right now. To be surrounded by wonderful women and give myself space to be. Thank you."
So many of us carry impossible expectations, push ourselves to our limits, and believe that if we could just get it right, we'd finally feel enough.
Â
But there is so much life waiting for us outside of perfection. There is rest, joy, connection, creativity, and freedom. You deserve a life that isn't measured by how much you accomplish or how flawlessly you perform.
Â
You deserve a life that feels softer, gentler, and more spacious. A life guided by peace instead of so much damn pressure.
Meet Jess Fry, LPC, ADHD-CCSP, CSTS
Licensed Therapist, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Body Confidence Coach and Educator

Jess Fry is a licensed mental health therapist, coach, and the founder of EmBODY Confidence Counseling and Coaching. She specializes in supporting women navigate eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, ADHD, and chronic self-criticism. Her work sits at the intersection of mental health, nervous system regulation, and body acceptance. Jess provides in-person therapy in Ephrata, PA, telehealth services throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and virtual coaching to clients worldwide.
Jess brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work. She knows firsthand what it is like to move through a world that constantly tells women, especially those in larger bodies, that they are too much, not enough, or in need of fixing. Her own healing journey includes recovery from an eating disorder, untangling body dysmorphia, and unlearning deeply ingrained cultural messages about worth, productivity, perfection and appearance. This embodied understanding allows her to guide others with nuance, safety, and deep compassion.
At the core of Jess’s work is the belief that true healing happens when people feel seen, regulated, and resourced rather than pushed or pathologized. Her approach is rooted in body acceptance, social justice, and a deep commitment to helping women reconnect with their inherent worth. Through counseling, coaching, and immersive experiences, Jess creates spaces where participants can slow down, listen inward, and practice caring for themselves in ways that are sustainable, affirming, and deeply human.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this workshop for?
This mini-workshop is for women and non-binary adults who find themselves putting a lot of pressure on themselves, overthinking decisions, procrastinating because they're afraid of getting it wrong, struggling to rest, or feeling like nothing they do is ever quite enough. You do not need to identify as a "perfectionist" to attend. If you're craving more self-compassion and less pressure, this space is for you.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and an open mind. Everything you'll need for our activities will be provided. If you’d like, feel free to bring a favorite pen, water bottle, or small comfort item. If you're a note taker, you're welcome to take notes, but you'll also be receiving the highlights of the workshop printed out for you to take home so you can focus on being present!
What should I wear?
Please dress comfortably and in layers. Think cozy, soft, and true to you. You’ll be moving around the room a bit for interactive activities and sitting for a good portion of the workshop. If you'd like, you're encouraged to remove your shoes for extra comfort and invited to bring slippers or cozy socks. The temperature is typically set to 70 degrees and blankets are available if you tend to get chilly.Â
Will food be provided?
Light refreshments and beverages will be available. Please eat dinner beforehand as we won't have anything as substantial as a meal.
Is this considered therapy?
While a licensed mental health provider will be leading the retreat, this is not a clinical therapy session. The workshop is an educational, supportive, and wellness-focused experience. If you're currently in therapy, this event can complement that work beautifully.
How many people will be there?
This workshop is open to 20 attendees.
Is the space accessible?Â
Yes! The venue includes an ADA-accessible entrance, size-inclusive furniture, and accessible, gender-neutral restrooms. If you have any specific accessibility needs or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to support you however I can to ensure you feel safe, seen, and comfortable throughout the event.
What if I can't make it after purchasing a ticket?
I would be so sad if you had to miss out, but I understand that life happens! Unfortunately, due to the details that go into creating events like these, I'm not able to refund tickets. If you cannot make it, I ask that you let me know and offer your ticket to a loved one who would be able to take your spot.Â
